Privacy
This page explains what Art-O Productions OPC Pvt Ltd collects when you use Synapsium, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, your wedding plan is stored encrypted, only the people you invite can see it in the app, and we never sell your details.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture, as Google shares them. We use these to know who you are, to show your name to the family members you invite, and to email you about your account and any message you send us.
- When you pay: payment is handled by Razorpay. We receive a payment reference, the amount, the date and whether it succeeded. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Your wedding plan: guests, events, budget, tasks and notes. Before you pay, it stays on your phone only. Once the wedding is paid, a copy is kept on our servers so your family can plan together and you can get it back on a new phone. It is stored encrypted (scrambled), never as plain text. The key that unlocks it is held by our server, not by your phone — which means we are technically able to open it. We only do that to fix a problem you have asked us to look at, or when the law requires it.
- Messages you send us: when you use “Write to us” or “Ask for a feature” in the app, we receive what you type, your name and email, the app version and your browser type. If you tick the box, we also receive your wedding’s reference number (not the plan itself). We use these only to reply and to improve the app.
- Phone reminders, only if you switch them on: we receive your phone’s notification address and the dates on which something in your plan starts or falls due. Never the names of jobs, guests or vendors — the words in a reminder are written on your phone itself. Switch reminders off and the address is deleted.
- Photos and files you add to the Vault stay on your phone. They are never uploaded.
- Error reports: if something breaks on a screen, the app sends us the error message, where in our code it happened, the app version and your browser type — never anything from your plan.
- Technical records: our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) for a short period to keep the service running and secure.
Guests who reply through your RSVP link
If you share an RSVP link, the guests who open it see only your names, the date, the city and the event names. What they send — their family’s name, WhatsApp number if they give it, how many are coming, which events, food needs, whether they need a room and any note — is stored encrypted and is shown only to the people in your wedding who can see Guests. You decide whether to add it to your list. You can turn the link off at any time.
Who in your family sees what
The person who started the wedding (and anyone they make an Admin) can choose, person by person, which parts of the plan each family member can open — for example keeping Money and Gifts to themselves. Our server enforces this: a part you have not been given is never sent to your phone.
Meta’s ad tool — only if you allow it
We run ads on Facebook and Instagram. To see whether those ads work, the app can use Meta’s ad measurement tool (the “Meta Pixel”, from Meta Platforms). It only runs if you tap “Allow” on the small bar at the bottom of the screen. If you tap “No thanks” or do nothing, it is never loaded and nothing is sent to Meta.
If you allow it, these events are sent to Meta, and nothing else:
| Event | When | What is sent with it |
|---|---|---|
| Page view | You open the site | The page address (never your sign-in details) |
| Sign-in completed | You come back from signing in with Google | Nothing extra |
| Checkout started | You tap Pay | The amount |
| Purchase | Your payment goes through | The amount |
Meta never sees your wedding plan, your guests, your budget or your notes. Meta sets its own cookie (_fbp) once you allow it; Meta’s use of that data is covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
To switch it off: Settings (the gear at the top of the app) → Privacy choices → Ad measurement: Off. You can withdraw consent any time in Settings; nothing more is sent after that.
AI
Most of the app never uses AI. Where an AI helper exists, it only runs when you tap it, and the screen shows you exactly what will be sent before anything leaves your phone. Both helpers use Cloudflare Workers AI, which runs an open AI model for us. Nothing is kept after the answer comes back, and nothing is used to train anyone’s AI.
- Room helper (Guests → Rooms → “Ask AI to place a family”): sends what you typed, the names of the families still waiting for a room and how many people in each, and your hotel names, room numbers, floors and bed counts. Never phone numbers, food needs, budget or notes.
- Ask AI (Today): sends your question and a short summary of the plan that you can read first — tradition, dates, city, event names, how many guests and rooms (as numbers) and the names of open jobs. Never guest names, phone numbers, rupee amounts, notes or vendor details.
If we add another AI helper, it will work the same way and will be listed here before it is switched on.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or share your details with advertisers, vendors or anyone else for marketing.
- We do not show ads inside the app.
- We do not look at your wedding plan, except to fix a problem you have asked us to look at, or when the law requires it.
Who helps us run the app
A sign-in provider (Google), a payment provider (Razorpay), hosting providers, an AI service (Cloudflare Workers AI — only when you tap an AI helper), an email provider for the emails we send you, the push service built into your phone’s browser (Google, Apple or Mozilla) if you switch reminders on — it carries no content from your plan — and, only if you allow it, Meta’s ad measurement tool. Each handles only what its job needs.
Storage on your phone
The app keeps your plan and settings in your phone’s own browser storage, with a backup copy in the same browser, so it works offline and survives storage clean-ups. It does not use third-party cookies unless you allow Meta’s ad tool (above).
Your choices
- You can export your plan from the app at any time (Settings → Your data is yours → Copy a backup, and Guests → Download guest list).
- You can withdraw consent any time in Settings (Privacy choices).
- To delete your account and your wedding from our servers: Settings → Account → Delete my account and wedding. Or email ojas@gingerfilms.in from the address you signed in with.
- To get a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it, write to ojas@gingerfilms.in.
- If you are in the EU/UK you have extra rights under GDPR — write to us.
How long we keep things
Your account and encrypted plan stay until you delete them. Messages you send us are kept so we can follow up; ask us and we will delete them. Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
Age
The app is for adults planning a wedding. You must be 18 or older to buy it. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
